Kourtney Kardashian has finally opened up more about the scare she had while pregnant with her and Travis Barker’s son, Rocky. On the June 20 episode of The Kardashians, the Poosh founder explained that she needed emergency fetal surgery because her doctors discovered that there was a build up of fluid in Rocky’s lungs.

“We had a terrifying scare,” she said during the episode. “It’s super rare—the condition that he had—but it’s also super rare and lucky that we caught it. Thank you, God, for a successful surgery. I’m honestly just so grateful, I have no words.”
Though the surgery was considered a success—Kardashian had to go under an emergency surgery for the issue, prompting Barker to fly from from his tour with Blink-182 in Europe to be with her for the stressful event—the fluid unfortunately came back, causing the reality TV star to be “filled with fear” when doctors told her Rock’s symptoms had returned.
“The fluid in his lungs actually did start coming back,” the 45-year-old explained in a solo confessional. “Then I watched this documentary called Heal that was all about the power of positive thinking and how our thinking can really affect our health.”

Ultimately, Kardashian revealed that Rocky began healing his condition. “I started talking to the baby every day, saying my prayers,” she continued. “After I had that mindset shift, the fluid was completely gone and we had not one single problem after…It’s everything I’ve ever dreamed of. Everything we’ve been through to get to this moment, it just feels so surreal.”
