Had it involved personal insults being messaged online to Phillips herself those responsible would be in jail by the end of the week, so why turn a blind eye to something much viler and more widespread?
Here’s some facts that might indicate why.
1. These crimes happened when her current boss, the self-declared chief prosecutor, was the head of the CPS, yet they did nothing.
2. Her share of the vote dropped 27 per cent at the last election despite it being a time of Labour landslide.
3. Her main opposition came, as it did in Oldham, from those who are rather fond of Hamas and its allies.
Elon Musk is right; Phillips should be in jail for this blatant attempt at covering it all up just to protect certain communities’ interests.

…LABOUR have well and truly abandoned their traditional working class supporters.
The refusal to hold a government inquiry into the failure of authorities in Oldham to stop grooming gangs exploiting teenage girls sends a clear message that the Labour movement as we once knew it, no longer exists.
They now have other priorities and other allegiances. Shame on them.

We need an opposition
AN obvious disadvantage of having a Government with such a large parliamentary majority is the opposition is small and divided, giving inexperienced, inept politicians the stage to impose ridiculously damaging, but in their opinion, ideological utopia, on the population.
After just six months in office, Labour has discredited themselves to such an alarming degree that opinion polls record their own loyal core support is quickly dissipating, little wonder a nationwide petition for a General Election has topped three million.
Another six months like the last, newspaper editorials could well be referring to civil unrest.
Opposition leaders should form an alliance and in the interest of the nation put petty disagreements to one side and form an “effective opposition” to challenge Labour.
Failure to do so would confirm a view held by many that they themselves are nothing more than self opinionated egotists, such is the quality of politician we entrust our future.

What a spectacle!
I WISH someone would tell the Prime Minister that the expensive and free glasses he wears do not suit him at all. He would be far better wearing something that does not stand out so much on his face, even rimless ones would be a vast improvement. If he chose them himself, then like every other decision he has made since coming into power has been wrong.

Catch and release
WHO would have imagined that the York fire service would practice a ‘catch and release’ scheme regarding the white car recently retrieved from the River Ouse floodwater on Queen’s Staith and then getting caught again as the river rose even higher and the car needed to be retrieved once again.
As an ex-fisherman and someone used to practice “catch and release” – with the car being so small , I imagine they releases the tiddler of a car back into the river for someone else to have a go catching it!
