North Yorkshire Police say Malique was last seen at 7pm today, when he got out of a car on the A19 near Escrick.
Malique is slim, around 5ft 4ins tall and has dreadlocks.
He may be wearing a black Puffa-style jacket with a fur hood, black tracksuit bottoms and black sliders on his feet.
He has links to various locations in the York area.
A police spokesman said: “If you think you’ve seen him or have any information about where he is, please call us on 101 and select option 1 to speak to our control room.”
