Top Black Celeb Style We Absolutely Loved Last Week

Last week’s style scene served up a delicious blend of star power, brand-defining moments, and unapologetic personality. Take Beyoncé, for example. She sent the internet spiraling into a denim daydream with her much-hyped Levi’s partnership, proving that when Queen Bey wears jeans, it’s not just fashion, it’s in her genes. Meanwhile, Joy Sunday kept her Wednesday Season 2 press tour on a sharp, sleek, and camera-ready track, reminding us why she’s swiftly cementing her place as one of the red carpet’s most exciting new style darlings.

And then there was Tracee Ellis Ross, delivering the kind of quirky-cool magic only she can conjure. With playful proportions and fearless color choices, she offered a masterclass in making fashion unapologetically fun again. Together, from powerhouse glam to eccentric chic, these stars proved they weren’t merely getting dressed, they were crafting sartorial stories worth remembering.

The Looks

Beyoncé’s all-denim moment for her Levi’s collab was pure main-character energy. She stunned in a cropped, crystal-embroidered denim jacket with matching high-waist jeans—both sparkling as if designed to catch every camera flash in the room. Intricate beading cascaded down the legs and swept across the jacket in swirling, Western-inspired patterns, giving classic Levi’s a glam, stage-ready remix. Silver stilettos, a bold red lip, and platinum bombshell hair sealed the deal. This was denim reimagined as a full-blown power move.

Shifting away from denim, Tyla lit up the Power of Young Hollywood event in a Palomo Spain two-piece from the Resort 2026 collection. The dreamy periwinkle blue look brought unapologetic Y2K-meets-high-fashion energy. A cropped, sleeveless button-up top paired seamlessly with a bubble-hem mini skirt, cinched at the hip with an oversized black bow. Black stilettos, a sparkling ankle bracelet, and a belly-button ring added subtle hits of shine. The sculptural, feather-like headpiece and sleek, blunt bob gave the ensemble a polished, editorial finish.

Then, as if to keep the shine going, Muni Long delivered another high-impact style moment at the Richmond Jazz & Music Festival. She commanded the stage in a firetruck-red dress that doubled as a runway statement. The sleek fit sculpted her frame, while the fluid fabric moved effortlessly with each performance beat. Every step sent the dress into a dramatic swish, adding cinematic flair. With its vivid color, confident cut, and her magnetic presence, the look was nothing short of unforgettable.
