As 2024 draws to a close, Peacock continues to deliver a mix of both popular franchises and lesser-known movies in November 2024. The movie lineup on Peacock changes more frequently than many other streaming services, though in the penultimate month of 2024 many of the best and highest-quality additions remain part of the library. There are also some incredibly new additions, such as Twisters, which arrives on the 15th of November fresh off of the back of its theatrical run.
The best Peacock movies cover a wide range of genres, with some movies having hit theaters as recently as 2024. It’s not only modern releases new to the platform for subscribers to enjoy in November, however, since acclaimed classics like The Silence of the Lambs are also arriving as the year draws to a close. From classic and prominent films to hidden gems, Peacock Premium or Peacock Premium Plus subscribers can easily watch some of Hollywood’s greatest movies from the comfort of their homes.
- Fall(2022) [Survival Thriller] – Released in 2022 from director Scott Mann, the survival thriller Fall surpassed all expectations, so much so that Fall 2 is now in the works. The premise of Fall is incredibly simple – two climbing enthusiasts ascend a vertigo-inducing radio tower in the desert, and become stuck at the top after a rusted ladder breaks.
- Twisters(2024) [Survival Thriller] – The sequel to 1996’s Twister ups the ante from the original with modern effects and many more tornadoes. Arriving on Peacock in mid-November, Twisters is guaranteed to be one of the most exciting blockbuster titles available to subscribers.
- The Silence of the Lambs(1991) [Horror Thriller] – Few movies are as highly regarded as 1991’s The Silence of the Lambs. From the terrifying crimes of antagonist Buffalo Bill to the jaw-dropping performance of Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter, this movie on Peacock is absolutely a must-watch.
- Jurassic Park(1993) [Sci-Fi Adventure] – Jurassic Park is one of the many triumphs of director Stephen Spielberg, though that’s not why it became a pop culture phenomenon. There’s plenty to love about the franchise-spawning 1993 movie, but nothing it offers tops the pulse-pounding dinosaur action.
- Downfall(2004) [Historic Drama] – There are plenty of slick and high-octane easy-watch films among the best drama and action movies on Peacock. 2004’s Downfall, however, isn’t one of them. The 2004 German war drama makes for some incredibly intense and emotionally heavy viewing, which is apt considering it’s perhaps one of the most important WW2 movies ever made.
- Nobody(2021) [Action Thriller] – Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul star Bob Odenkirk leads the cast of Nobody, and few movies on Peacock are as unrelentingly high-octane throughout, and subscribers seeking a new watch that feels spiritually adjacent to the likes of the John Wick franchise will feel right at home.
- Memento(2000) [Crime Drama] – Widely credited as one of the movies that helped launch Oppenheimer and The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan’s career, Memento is one of the most cerebral films currently on Peacock. It’s a mind-boggling movie with a non-linear narrative that focuses on Leonard Shelby (Guy Pearce), a man with severe amnesia, as he tries to work out who is behind the death of his wife Natalie (Carrie-Anne Moss).
- The Boondock Saints(1999) [Crime Thriller] – Underground hit The Boondock Saints became a defining 90s cult classic. The movie stars Sean Patrick Flannery and Norman Reedus as fraternal twins who turn to vigilantism in order to protect their predominantly Irish Boston neighborhood.
- Asteroid City(2023) [Sci-Fi Drama] – Wes Anderson’s 2023 comedy Asteroid City is set in a retro-futuristic 1950s. The plot focuses on UFO sighting in the southwest after atomic bomb testing, and the cast of Asteroid City is beyond star-studded, with the likes of Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hanks, Edward Norton, Bryan Cranston, Jeff Goldblum, Willem Dafoe, and Margot Robbie, among others.
- Mr. Monk’s Last Case: A Monk Movie(2023) [Crime Drama] – Mr. Monk’s Last Case: A Monk Movie sees Tony Shalhoub reprise his role as Adrian Monk, the obsessive-compulsive former homicide detective turned private consultant with the San Francisco Police. While prior knowledge of Monk is certainly helpful, it is by no means a requirement for Peacock subscribers who want to sit back and unwind to a hilarious cop movie with a slightly different dynamic than most.
- Renfield (2023)(2023) [Horror Comedy] – 2024’s Renfield, which is directed by Chris McKay and stars Nicolas Hoult alongside Nicholas Cage, pokes a sharp satirical stake into vampire films, especially those based on Dracula. The movie focuses on Renfield who, after 90 years of enjoying the immortality gifted to him upon becoming Dracula’s familiar, decides that he’s had enough of life under his master’s thumb.
- The Fall Guy(2024) [Action Comedy] – Ryan Gosling is fast becoming one of the most in-demand actors working in Hollywood, thanks in no small part to his performances in movies such as Barbie, The Nice Guys, and La La Land. His latest movie, The Fall Guy, is currently available to stream on Peacock, and fans of both the A-list actor and action comedy movies in general are sure to get a kick out of Gosling’s turn as seasoned stuntman Colt Seavers.
- The Trotsky(2010) [Teen Comedy] – There are many movies that gain much more acclaim and renown years (and even decades) after their initial release thanks to streaming, and such is the case with 2010’s The Trotsky. The quirky comedy stars Jay Baruchel, best known for voicing Hiccup in How to Train Your Dragon, as Leon Bronstein, a highschooler who believes himself to be the reincarnation of Soviet leader Leon Trotsky.
- Meet Cute(2022) [Romantic Comedy] – A Peacock original rom-com, Meet Cute asks what would you do if you could create the perfect romantic partner? The movie follows Sheila (Kaley Cuoco), a woman who meets the shy Gary (Pete Davidson) at a bar. The two have a romantic date on the town, but there’s a twist: Sheila has been using time travel to “fix” Gary’s past wounds and traumas and mold him into her ideal man.
- Sliding Doors(1998) [Romantic Drama] – A classic “what if?” story, Sliding Doors uses an unconventional narrative to explore the romantic possibilities determined by its lead character’s success or failure in boarding a train. Gwyneth Paltrow plays Helen, a PR officer fired from her job who faces two divergent futures.
- The Illusionist(2006) [Fantasy Drama] – Both a gripping mystery and a heartfelt romance, The Illusionist was unfairly overlooked by many on release and remains one of the best romance movies on Peacock. Edward Norton and Jessica Biel give incredible performances, as does Paul Giamatti as Chief Inspector Uhl.
- Casper(1995) [Supernatural Comedy] – Casper may not be the most widely remembered children’s movie of the 1990s, but it holds a special place in the hearts of many fans both new and old. For viewers of the intended age range, the antics of Casper and his ghostly uncles Stretch, Fatso, and Stinky provided a solid 100 minutes of near non-stop laughter (with a heartwarming ending to boot).
- Harry Potter(2001-2011) [Fantasy Adventure] – When it comes to blockbuster family entertainment on Peacock, there are few titles that match the acclaim or appeal as the Harry Potter movies. All 8 Harry Potter films, from 2001’s Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone to 2011’s Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 are available to stream. The franchise is a (quite literally) magical viewing experience for older and younger viewers alike.
- Despicable Me(2010) [Animated Comedy] – Few family movies are as genuinely laugh-out-loud funny as Despicable Me, and it’s guaranteed to put a smile on the faces of almost any viewer, regardless of their age. The all-star cast not only includes Steve Carell, but also Jason Segel, Russell Brand, Kristen Wiig, Miranda Cosgrove, Julie Andrews, and Will Arnett.
- Labyrinth(1986) [Fantasy Adventure] – Jim Henson may be best known as the mastermind behind The Muppets, but he also directed one of the most highly regarded cult hits of the late 1980s — Labyrinth. Labyrinth is filled with all the puppeteering magic Jim Henson is known for, mixed with some incredibly inventive set-pieces and catchy musical numbers. It’s a movie that’s sure to delight young viewers, as well as older ones seeking a nostalgia kick.
- Shrek 2(2004) [Animated Comedy] – When it comes to classic animated movies on Peacock, none surpass 2004’s Shrek 2, which is considered by many to be the best Shrek movie. The highlight of Shrek 2 is undoubtedly the villain of the movie, the Fairy Godmother. Voiced by UK comedian Jennifer Saunders, the Fairy Godmother is arguably the best villain in any Shrek movie, and her rendition of “Holding out for a Hero” by Bonnie Tyler is perhaps now more well known than the original song.
- It Follows(2014) [Supernatural Horror] – Horror movies have traditionally had an uphill battle when it comes to winning over critics who don’t specialize in the genre, so when a film as near-universally acclaimed as David Robert Mitchell’s It Follows arrives, it quickly gains attention. It Follows focuses on Jay (Maika Monroe), a young woman relentlessly stalked by a supernatural entity that targets women after sexual encounters.
- Silent Hill(2006) [Supernatural Horror] – Silent Hill is a disturbing horror thanks to its incredibly unforgettable visuals throughout – and some equally unforgettable monsters. Those on Peacock looking for an easy-watch horror that doesn’t skimp on dark and disturbing character designs will find Silent Hill a morbid delight.
- Old (2021)(2021) [Supernatural Horror] – M. Night Shyamalan’s Old takes place almost entirely on the same stretch of beach. It focuses on several beach-goers who find that, for reasons beyond their understanding, they cannot leave once they arrive. However, the true horror of Old comes when they figure out the other disturbing effects of the isolated patch of shoreline — every living thing present ages at a dramatically increased rate.
- They/Them(2022) [Slasher Horror] – Peacock and Blumhouse Productions come together for They/Them (pronounced “they slash them“), an unforgettable slasher-horror. It follows a group of LGBTQ+ teens at a conversion camp who find themselves stalked by a masked killer.
- The House of the Devil(2009) [Supernatural Horror] – Ti West directed two of the most critically acclaimed horror movies of 2022 with X and its prequel Pearl. However, he had shown his immense talent 13 years earlier when he directed the cult-favorite horror movie The House of the Devil. The movie is a typical horror tale about a girl at a house in a remote location who finds herself hunted by a Satanic cult.
- Train to Busan(2016) [Zombie Horror] – While zombie movies had started to fall out of favor by 2016, the South Korean horror movie Train to Busan brought something new to the oversaturated genre, revitalizing interest in the walking dead.
- Night of the Living Dead(1968) [Zombie Horror] – George Romero changed everything about the zombie genre with his 1968 movie Night of the Living Dead. Romero created a new lore of the dead rising from their graves and feeding on the living, creating the modern zombie movie as audiences now know it.
- The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974)(1974) [Slasher Horror] – The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is a raw and terrifying peek behind the mask of madness. Filmed on a shoestring, the film takes typical slasher tropes like traveling teenagers, isolated houses, and a power-tool-wielding villain to new extremes, pushing boundaries like few films before or since.
- Freaky(2020) [Slasher Horror] – Directed by Christopher Landon, the creative mind behind Happy Death Day, Vince Vaughn and Kathryn Newton star in Freaky as a serial killer and his would-be victim. However, just as Newton’s Millie is about to be killed by Vaughn’s deranged Blissfield Butcher, the two switch bodies.
