She told the Press: “Both organisations work hard for the benefit of business.”
Sarah was nominated for the personality award, which is sponsored by York Racecourse, by a colleague and believes her success was recognition for her efforts and contribution to York’s business community over the years.

“I highly encourage businesses, entrepreneurs and start-ups to enter. The York Press shines a spotlight on the thriving business community in York and North Yorkshire.”
“I was deeply honoured to have been made the business personality. It added a platform for my voice to be heard, to help lobby for and support business in the region.”
The York Press Business Awards in partnership with York St John University and Fera Science Limited are back for their 34th year.
The region’s most prestigious Business awards is free to enter and offers a choice of 11 award categories, leading to an overall winner.
All finalists will be invited to a black-tie dinner at York Racecourse on Thursday, November 27 where the winners, and overall Business of the Year, will be announced.
