Rail passengers are being warned of disruption to services through parts of Yorkshire due to a power outage.
National Rail said all lines between Doncaster and Wakefield had been closed following damage to a telegraph pole in the Adwick area, leaving it “dangerously close to the overhead electric wires”.
A spokesperson said Northern Powergrid staff were on site and working to resolve the problem “as soon as possible”, but warned of possible delays and cancellations lasting until around 20:00 BST.
Passengers travelling on Grand Central, LNER and Northern services in the area are advised to check before they travel, external.
