Person is hit by train between York and Darlington

[ad_1] All train lines between York and Darlington - including the East Coast Mainline - are currently closed.

The incident was reported at 5.53pm today (August 13) with lines between York, Darlington and Middlesbrough impacted.

“Major disruption is expected until the end of the day,” said a spokesperson for National Rail.

CrossCountry between Penzance and Edinburgh / Aberdeen, and between Plymouth and Edinburgh, and also between Reading and Newcastle Grand Central between London Kings Cross and Sunderland LNER between York and Newcastle, and between London Kings Cross and Edinburgh / Aberdeen / Inverness Lumo between London Kings Cross and Edinburgh TransPennine Express between Liverpool Lime Street and Newcastle, and also between Manchester Airport and Redcar Central
