LNER has announced that the ‘She’s Electric’ rail service, named after the Manchester band’s 1995 song, will run on Friday, July 25.
The Edinburgh to King’s Cross service will call at York at 11.30am.
It will feature “Oasis-themed activities for customers wishing to roll with it” and an Oasis-themed design, LNER said.
Stuart Thomas, communications director at LNER, said the service will take fans to London for the Wembley Stadium concert “faster than a cannonball”.
“Our Masterplan is for our customers to feel like a Rock’n’Roll Star, and they certainly will on the She’s Electric service,” he said.
“The train has already proved incredibly popular, and for those who managed to get a ticket onboard, we’re promising even more surprises on the day as we head to London faster than a cannonball!”
Tonight (Friday, July 4), Oasis will kickstart their long-awaited worldwide reunion tour in Cardiff on Friday.
Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher will perform together for the first time since their dramatic split in 2009, when they appear at the Welsh capital’s Principality Stadium.
The reunion comes 15 years after Noel quit the Britpop band, saying he “simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer”, following a backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris.
