A summer night of music and magic is on the horizon.
The Malton and York Sing Space Musical Theatre Choirs will take to the stage for an open-air concert at Scampston Hall Gardens on Sunday, July 27.
The one-night-only event will feature songs from hit musicals including Les Misérables, Hairspray, Wicked, The Greatest Showman, and Come From Away.
Guest performer Neil Hurst will add extra star power to the evening.
Mr Hurst’s credits include Fat Friends the Musical, The Full Monty, Evita, Hairspray, Early Doors Live, Coronation Street, and All Creatures Great and Small.
Young dancers from Malton’s Dance Expression School of Dance will also perform.
James Aconley, choir leader for the Malton group, said: “This concert is the perfect chance to come together, celebrate the joy of singing, and share the magic of musical theatre in one of the most beautiful settings in Yorkshire.
“We’re so excited to welcome Neil Hurst, the amazing dancers from Dance Expression, and of course our incredibly passionate choir members.
“It’s going to be a truly unforgettable night.”
The event is family-friendly and, in the words of a spokesperson, also “picnic-perfect,” with guests encouraged to bring their own picnic blankets and chairs.
Doors open at 6pm, with the concert starting at 7pm.
