A man who was taken to hospital with a serious head injury has died, prompting a murder investigation.
The 23-year-old victim was seriously injured on Staniforth Road in Sheffield on Saturday in what South Yorkshire Police said was a “targeted attack”.
He was taken to hospital and died on Monday evening, police added.
A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery in connection with the incident and he remains in police custody.
