Part of the M18 in South Yorkshire has been closed following a “serious” multi-vehicle collision.
The motorway has been shut northbound between Junction 1 for Bramley and Junction 2 near Rotherham since about 03:00 BST.
National Highways said South Yorkshire Police were carrying out investigations following the collision.
A spokesperson said: “The closure is expected to remain ongoing for several hours throughout the morning and possibly into the afternoon.”
