Pike Hills Golfs Club will host the event on Friday, April 25.
Funds will be raised for the Stroke Association, Survive, York City FC Foundation and York RLFC Foundation.
More than 30 teams have entered the competition, playing for the Lord Mayor’s trophy and other prizes.
Mixed teams of up to four people can enter for £160, which includes a bacon roll and coffee before the round of golf, followed by steak pie, chips and peas.
The club’s newly elected captain, Chris Richardson, welcomed the Lord Mayor of York, Cllr Margaret Wells, and her civic party to the golf club in preparation for the event.
He encouraged anyone interested in taking part to get in touch.
“This golf day has raised thousands of pounds for many local charities over the last 17 years,” Chris said.
