Huddersfield Town CEO Jake Edwards has left the club by mutual agreement.
Edwards departs the Terriers after just under three years in the post, with the CEO having been appointed to the role in June 2023 as part of Kevin Nagle’s takeover.
The 49-year-old oversaw the acquisition of the Accu Stadium by the club, which was completed in September last year.
“I would like to give my personal thanks to Jake as he leaves his role at the club today,” Town’s owner Nagle said in a statement.
“Jake played a significant part in leading the club operation in many successful enterprises over our past three years. For that, I will always be grateful to him, and I will always consider him a friend.”
Edwards added: “I would like to thank Kevin Nagle for putting his trust in me to lead this historic club over the last three seasons, which has been a tremendous honour.
“I am proud of the significant work we’ve done to acquire and transform Accu Stadium, to redefine club business operations, and to expand our football infrastructure from our new academy to the men’s and women’s first teams.
“The club is well positioned for an exciting future with much more to come. I wish Kevin, our dedicated staff, and our passionate supporters nothing but success moving forward. UTT!”
Town have confirmed that their day-to-day operation will be led by chief operating officer David Threlfall-Sykes moving forward.
