While I’m still waiting until Black Friday to do my big ticket purchases (i.e., the steam mop I’ve been eyeing for months), thanks to this weekend’s major sales, I’m getting a headstart on everything else.

I’m shopping for my late-fall and early winter wardrobe from J.Crew’s double-discount sale, where all sale items are now an extra 50 percent off with the code SALETIME. Not to mention, Nordstrom’s Limited Time sales event includes nearly 5,000 markdowns on jackets and sweaters, while Zara quietly marked down chic staples. Tory Burch’s sale section is where I’m shopping luxury handbags for less than $250, and Amazon has deals on all of this season’s hottest shoes—up to 64 percent off.

J.Crew Sale-on-Sale

Now through November 12, you can take an extra 50 percent off J.Crew’s markdowns with the code SALETIME. Some of my favorites include 78 percent off this short-sleeve satin dress, which I’d wear with sheer black tights and knee-high boots, and this wool trench coat that’s now more than $200 off. I’m of course adding at least one color of this now-$40 crewneck sweater to my cart; it’s such a classic, goes-with-everything look, and shoppers rave it’s “soft, comfortable, and well-made.”

Nordstrom Limited-Time Sale

Nordstrom just launched its pre-Black Friday sale, with markdowns on pretty much everything you might need for winter. Lauren Ralph Lauren’s quilted barn jacket, a style we’ve seen Katie Holmes and Martha Stewart wear, is 41 percent off. There are also rare savings on Nordstrom’s cashmere, and these comfy pants are just $35. But the item I’m most likely grabbing is Rails’s Arlette Sweater Dress: It’s elegant and a little sexy thanks to that body-skimming fit, but still totally comfortable.

Tory Burch Under-$250 Sale

Tory Burch just added a handful of new styles to its sale section, and I managed to find six that are under $250. The steepest discount is on the Small Robinson Tote Bag in burgundy, a.k.a. fall’s ‘It’ color. The shopper-favorite Ella Tote is on rare sale, while this pine green crossbody bag is $149 off; that festive shade paired with the gold hardware makes it an essential for all of your winter parties.

Amazon Fall Shoe Sale

Fall’s must-have footwear has been quietly marked down at Amazon. Best sellers, including Adidas’s Vl Court 3.0 sneakers and Modatope’s knee-high boots, are on sale.Plus, celebrity-worn brand Franco Sarto’s loafers are 64 percent off. And for something really comfortable, there’s Dr. Scholl’s London Ankle Boots and these fuzzy suede boots that shoppers say are comparable to Ugg’s ankle boots. 

Zara Fall Fashion Sale

All of these Zara markdowns are $60 and under, so I’m kind of having a hard time not adding each and every one to my cart. The easiest add-to-bag was this elegant knotted top. It’s available in white, black, and red, and is now just $23. I’m also completely obsessed with both the belted midi dress—the way the material drapes is so chic—and the comfortable-but-dressy shirt dress.
