I Just Tried the Editor-Approved Abercrombie Linen Trousers

There are four summer basics that I depend upon every single summer. The first is a great dress, styled for the day with sandals, then taken to the evening with mules. The next is a sleek basket bag that feels equally at home strolling through the city as it does filled with books, SPF and towels for a trip to the seaside. Then there’s a sweet blouse, restyled with jeans, loose linens, shorts and plenty more as we move through the warmer months. The final, and often most difficult to get right, is a pair of tailored linen trousers.

Throughout the year, office looks, coffee dates and even sophisticated evening looks are often accompanied by refined trousers with sharp pleats and a flowing wide leg. And when summer arrives, even on the hottest days, I’m not quite ready to give up my go-to foundation piece. Instead, I make a quick shift in fabrication to bring this perennial staple into the warmest months, in the form of linen-tailored trousers. Of all the styles I’ve tried, the Abercrombie & Fitch Sloane Linen-Blend Trousers have impressed me the most.

The Sloane trousers are iconic in their own right. Beloved by editors and fashion people across the globe, Abercrombie’s tailored trousers are renowned for their polished appeal, size and fit offerings, and sleek colourways. The style features bold front pleats and a loose, wide-leg silhouette, making this pair a classic style which can hold its place in any great capsule wardrobe.
