There’s more to Boracay than meets the eye.
Boracay Island — Bask in the sun, feel the gentle sea breeze, and sink your toes into the velvety white sands of Boracay—a tropical paradise that captivates every traveler. Yet, this stunning destination offers more than just breathtaking vistas. With state-of-the-art facilities and a range of luxurious accommodations, Boracay stands out as an exceptional venue for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) in the Philippines, combining leisure and productivity in an idyllic setting.
The Belmont Hotel Boracay has rooms that are ideal for families.
Hotels in the National Capital Region (NCR) are still the preferred choice for hosting events. However, recent surveys indicate a promising trend for Megaworld Hotels and Resorts (MHR), with their Boracay properties ranking as the third most popular option. Cleofe Albiso, Managing Director for MHR, says, “Our Savoy Hotel Boracay and Belmont Hotel Boracay have hosted several MICE groups starting 2023, which is a very encouraging sign for the island’s recovery.”
With the Boracay MICE business landscape gaining momentum, the tourism sector is now beyond the recovery phase and optimistic about continued growth in travel. Meetings such as pharmaceutical conventions, the ASEAN Digital Ministers Meeting, and the Prosecutors League of the Philippines Convention have all been recently held in Boracay. “After the pandemic, we are glad the domestic market patronized our island, but we are also hoping that our MICE organizers will consider Boracay as their new option for a MICE destination,” she said.
Boracay Newcoast stands as a quintessential model for why Boracay should be the premier choice for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) events. Nestled along the tranquil northeast coast of the island, this breathtaking integrated tourism destination boasts a stunning private beach that enhances its allure. At the heart of this oasis lies the modern Boracay Newcoast Convention Center (BNCC), designed to cater to a variety of events with elegance and sophistication.
The BNCC features versatile function spaces that can be seamlessly tailored to accommodate the unique requirements of any event. With a generous capacity of up to 1,000 attendees in theater-style seating and 750 for banquet arrangements, it perfectly suits the needs of medium to large-scale conventions and conferences. The venue is fully air-conditioned, ensuring a comfortable experience, and comes equipped with a vital 100% backup power supply to guarantee uninterrupted service.
Moreover, attendees can enjoy reliable high-speed internet connectivity along with cutting-edge audio-visual equipment, making it an ideal setting for dynamic presentations and engaging discussions. The thoughtfully designed 9-meter-high ceilings provide planners with ample vertical space, allowing for creative freedom in décor and layout, whether for social banquets, corporate gatherings, or grand weddings. With its combination of natural beauty and modern amenities, Boracay Newcoast truly redefines the MICE experience.
The convention center is conveniently located within a leisurely stroll from the luxurious accommodations offered by Boracay Newcoast, specifically the Savoy Hotel Boracay and the Belmont Hotel Boracay. This prime location places guests just mere steps away from the pristine private white beach of the township. Picture this: sipping refreshing drinks on the soft, powdery sands as the sun begins its descent after an engaging afternoon plenary, or perhaps indulging in a serene morning walk along the glistening shoreline before the excitement of the convention day unfolds. It’s an idyllic setting that promises both relaxation and rejuvenation.
Once the highly anticipated new hotel at Boracay Newcoast officially opens its doors, the BNC properties will collectively offer more than 1,500 thoughtfully designed room keys, catering to a diverse range of preferences and budgets. Guests will be delighted by an impressive selection of dining options, featuring both local culinary delights and international cuisine, ensuring that every palate is satisfied.
Nestled within a stunning 150-hectare exclusive property, Boracay Newcoast provides reasonably priced accommodations without compromising on quality. The attentive service staff is committed to ensuring a memorable stay, particularly for those attending conferences. The location strikes the perfect balance, being far enough from the bustling atmosphere of White Beach to minimize distractions while still offering its own vibrant array of recreational activities for relaxation and enjoyment with family and friends.
The Boracay Newcoast Convention Center is equipped to host large-scale events, featuring state-of-the-art technology and ample space for attendees. Additionally, the various smaller function rooms located throughout the hotels are ideal for executive meetings or breakout sessions, providing a comfortable and conducive environment for focused discussions. Moreover, the property’s expansive landscape presents numerous opportunities for safe and secure outdoor venues, perfect for events that seek to blend business with leisure in a picturesque setting. With its well-rounded offerings, Boracay Newcoast is an exceptional choice for event planners looking to create a seamless experience.
“The versatile event spaces – both indoor and outdoor – at Savoy Hotel Boracay, Belmont Hotel Boracay, and BNCC are designed to meet the needs of every occasion,” says Maia Israel, Area General Manager for Boracay Newcoast properties and president for Boracay MICE Alliance. “With personalized service, state-of-the-art technology, and a serene island setting, we ensure that your business events are as productive as they are unforgettable.
MHR hotels handle the banquet requirements for BNCC. Their culinary teams are fully equipped to ensure that clients’ dietary requirements, with BNC taking pride in having a Halal-certification, and food preferences are met by delivering tasty meals inspired by a variety of local and international cuisines. Both hotels also excel in creating themed banquet packages fit for any type of event. Aside from the classic Luau and Filipino fiesta, their teams have planned and executed themes that run the gamut from Bohemian to Karaoke, dinners under the stars, and street eats, with package inclusions such as an exhilarating fire dance, soothing acoustic performances, or a live DJ performance.
While Boracay is primarily known for leisure travels, corporate agenda also thrives because when bliss and business come together, only the best MICE events can come from that synergy.
“With the island’s naturally stunning seascapes, enhanced infrastructure, and growing capacity for hosting large-scale conferences and exhibitions, we are seeing a significant increase in demand for corporate events and incentives. With this in mind, we are poised to become a premier and vibrant MICE destination where there’s a perfect blend of relaxation and productivity,” says Israel.
