North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service have said that there has been a small explosion inside the kitchen of a static caravan near Easingwold.
The incident took place at 00.34am today (May 31) with crews from Easingwold and Acomb attending the scene where the caravan was believed to be smoking.
A spokesperson said: “After a thermal imaging camera investigation, crews found no signs of fire or smoke damage. A gas detector was also used to check an obscure smell behind the integrated fridge, but no positive readings were found.
“Crews gave advice to the occupants to keep all utilities isolated and to not re-enter the caravan until a specialist engineer arrives to investigate further.”
