Characters come and go on the programme, but sometimes certain residents don’t always appeal to loyal viewers.
Many will be rooting for particular couples on the show, while others will be hoping their relationship comes to an end, as they “don’t like either of them”.
It comes as someone posted a poll for some “good fun” on Reddit, and asked fellow Emmerdale supporters: “Just talking in terms of being the most annoying, unpleasant, intolerable… I could go on.

Emmerdale fans debate ITV soap’s ‘most insufferable’ couple
The most popular response for the “most insufferable” couple on the Yorkshire Dales-set programme was Dawn and Joe, with Sarah and Jacob coming second, and the rest of the votes for “other”.
This account explained: “Now that’s a hard choice. Joe/Dawn and Jacob/Sarah are both absolutely awful, terrible and I hope they end up.miserable but I think Joe/Dawn edges out because they actively don’t care about three kids plus they’re both just bad people.”
A viewer debated: “Joe did things outside of that relationship BUT the way he treated Clemmie and the way Dawn covered it up by saying it was nothing was a hard and disturbing watch.”
Discussing Sarah and Jacob, a profile also chimed in: “I like Joe at least, so definitely Sarah and Jacob, as I don’t like either of them or this stupid storyline.”
This reply said: “I agree, I’m not a huge fan of this Jacob and Sarah too. I like Joe Tate as he’s so charming, but just wish he wasn’t with Dawn.. poor Billy!”

One person said: “Chas and Liam. Zero chemistry, and just intolerably smug.”
Another added: “I have to agree with you on that very accurate description!”
But someone argued: “How could you not like Chas and Liam? I think they’re a nice couple.
