Will Wylde, played by Oscar Lloyd, left the show in 2011 when Maisie broke off her engagement with Nikhil and took him to stay with their Aunt in Dartford.
Now, fans are calling for him to return as he would have some “proper storylines” now.
Emmerdale fans demand the return of Will Wylde to the ITV show
Taking to Emmerdale‘s official Reddit page, one fan of the ITV show posted: “With Emmerdale bringing back Ross, Robert and Joe, I feel like it would be really good if the show brought back Will Wylde.
“He was one of the nice ones. It would be good for Belle to find proper love, too.
“Also, he would be the right age where he would have some proper storylines too.”
Another user added: “I miss the era of Emmerdale when the Wyldes and the lambs were in it!”
Responding to this, the original poster said: “That was the time I started watching Emmerdale, when the Wyldes and Lambs were in it.”
The other fan penned: “Same, I think my first was the episode when Will first had a seizure. Then I started to watch it full-time from there.”
Others elsewhere were in agreement about his return, with this user writing: “Yeah, Belle’s first love, and he left the show with all of his parents’ money set to be given to him when he turns 18.
“Could give us a way to bring back Nathan, Maisie and Ryan.”
One simply said: “Yes, I agree,” while another added: “Oh, be cute seeing him with Belle.”
