The Dell XPS 13 (2022) may have an eye-catching portable design and a great screen, but significant performance issues make this a frustrating laptop to use, even for simple day-to-day tasks. You’re better off spending a little extra for better quality, or settling for an older iteration of the XPS range that isn’t compromised by thermal issues.

The Dell XPS 13 9315 is a 2-in-1 laptop with a great balance of performance, portability, and design. It features a sleek and stylish chassis, a powerful processor and a stunning 13-inch touchscreen display. Sitting at 11.50 inches x 7.90 inches x 0.29…

I’m worried that this might just be the absolute best version of an ultraportable, thousand-dollar-range Windows laptop that you can buy on today’s market. It’s a very fine device — but I don’t feel that I can enthusiastically praise it the way reviewers used to. The XPS is no longer what sells the XPS; Windows is what sells the XPS. And I wonder if Dell, or any OEM, will come up with something truly innovative in the next few months that will break that mold. In the meantime, though, please give us a few more ports.

This year’s Dell XPS 13 9315 has moved downmarket, leaving the high end for the XPs 13 Plus. That’s a good thing, though, as it provides enough computing power for most users and provides excellent value for money.Reasons to buy+Excellent battery…

The newest XPS 13 two-in-one from Dell looks and feels a lot like the Surface Pro from Microsoft. Yes, there are many other Windows tablets with clip-on keyboards, but the Surface is the original and still best known, so it’s the one you’re most likely…

The Dell XPS 13 (2022) is slimmer and lighter than previous models but its lack of ports and minimalist design leave something to be desired. Though a good laptop on its own, it’s arguably a step backward for the popular laptop line.

The Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 may not have the most mind-blowing specs and performance, but it’s an overall solid machine that serves its purpose well. Sure, I would have liked a few more ports and longer battery life. But if you want a relatively affordable…

Overall, the Dell XPS 13 9315 is a pretty impressive ultralight laptop. It’s got one of the smallest footprints and weight profiles you can get for a notebook in an all-aluminum chassis. There’s also good performance and a nice display at an affordable entry point on tap here.

Dell’s new plan for its long-lauded flagship laptop hasn’t worked, at least not first time out. The XPS 13 Plus implemented some new ideas well, but failed to wow, and, like the regular model, is dragged down by poorer-than-expected performance.

The Dell XPS 13 9315 boasts a gorgeous, incredibly thin all-metal design, but its lackluster performance, subpar webcam, and hard-to-lift lid prevent a stronger recommendation.

For many years, Dell’s flagship ultraportable, the XPS 13, has been one of our most recommended laptops. This new late-2022 edition—model 9315 (starts at $999; $1,249 as tested)—leaves us feeling surprisingly let down, even withdrawing the XPS 13’s…

Dell’s XPS 13 line does one big thing really well — it’s a slim, well-made Windows laptop that kinda gives you the look and feel of a MacBook Air, but running Windows rather than MacOS.
