Insp Charlotte Nicholls, from West Yorkshire Police, said: “These rapid arrests have come as a result of members of the public having the quick thinking to report suspicious ongoing activity to us.
“This allowed colleagues from our roads policing unit to rapidly deploy to the scene, locate the suspect vehicle and recover stolen property.”
Meanwhile, West Yorkshire Police has announced that all victims of domestic burglary and their neighbours will be given crime prevention packs as part of a new scheme.
The packs include advice, UV marking pens to protect personal property and window stickers.
Officers said they hoped the project would discourage burglars from returning to the same neighbourhood after they’ve committed a crime.
