Are Michael Shiakallis & Lauren Goodger Together?

Michael Shiakallis and Lauren Goodger were married to two other people on Married At First Sight Season 17, and it’s time to talk about whether they started dating each other after that installment. Michael had a tumultuous time on the series, because his first bride left him at the altar, becoming the first runaway bride in the show’s history. Wanting to give Michael a second chance at marrying his true love sight unseen, the show’s relationship experts asked him to try again with a new bride. Though Michael felt rejected by his first would-be bride, he bravely agreed.

For her part, Married At First Sight season 17 cast member Lauren had even less luck than Michael, when her arranged marriage fell apart during the honeymoon. Though Lauren’s marriage ended early during the season, she continued to spend time with the rest of the cast. That’s when she formed a friendship with Michael that some speculated was more than just platonic. In fact, even Michael’s wife, Chloe, took issue with Lauren and Michael’s friendship. Read on to learn if Michael and Lauren ever got together, and where they stand now.

Michael & Lauren Married Other People In MAFS Season 17

Chloe Brown & Orion Martzloff

After Michael was harshly rejected and left at the altar by a runaway bride, the Married At First Sight season 17 experts found him a second potential spouse. This time, the wedding went through as planned and Chloe and Michael tied the knot. Michael and Chloe Brown had a great deal in common, especially their shared love of animals. Chloe and Michael really hit it off and had more mutual respect than the other couples. They were, by far, the season’s most functional relationship. Despite everything they had going for them, they broke up on Decision Day.

The Married At First Sight season 17 relationship experts paired Lauren with Orion Martzloff. The couple hit it off at first, but, almost immediately, there were misunderstandings and conflict between the two. Orion was extremely sensitive about race and misunderstood a comment that Lauren made during their honeymoon. While they were out in the sun, she commented on the sun burning her skin and turning it red. Orion, a Native American, took issue with her comment. Though Lauren didn’t mean anything by it, there was no coming back from the incident, and the couple broke up during their honeymoon.

Lauren & Michael’s Ex Chloe Fell Out Over Michael

Gender Divide

Married At First Sight season 17 ended in tears for everyone involved. All five MAFS couples broke up, and most of the unions ended on bad terms. The season was, in large part, driven by a gender war that came to a head later in the season. While several of the women were in a clique, they left Chloe out, and she mostly ended up hanging out with the boys.

Fans were speculating that Lauren and Michael should date, so their contact hurt Chloe’s feelings. The truth is, Chloe was ambivalent about her relationship with Michael. He was the one who ended things, which could explain her jealousy.

Michael & Lauren Revealed What Their Relationship Is

Never Say Never

Married At First Sight season 18 recently premiered, and Kevin Frazier hosted a pre-show special. Michael and Lauren appeared on the special, and Frazier asked them about their relationship. Michael and Lauren both insisted that they were just friends, but they admitted to having discussed the possibility of dating.

When he went on to ask if there was any chance that the two could ever date, they conspicuously couldn’t answer the question. There may be nothing going on between the Married At First Sight season 17 stars now. However, the tension between them was so thick, it would take a big knife to cut through it all.

Married At First Sight season 17 can be streamed on Lifetime.
