Jennifer Lawrence and her husband, art gallerist Cooke Maroney, are expecting their second child. The news was confirmed by a representative for Lawrence on Sunday, October 20, in a statement to Vogue, and the actress proudly showed off her baby bump while out to dinner in Los Angeles. Lawrence and Maroney, who tied the knot in 2019, are parents to their son Cy, born in February 2022. The couple named him after the artist Cy Twombly, reflecting their love for art.
Lawrence, best known for her role in The Hunger Games, has been open about her journey into motherhood. In a previous interview with Vogue, she shared the emotional and often daunting aspects of becoming a parent for the first time, crediting her friends for preparing her for the challenges. She also spoke candidly in 2022 during a conversation with Viola Davis, admitting that, like many mothers, she frequently experiences feelings of guilt and worries about doing the right things for her child.

Tyla finds her debut album redirected from the R&B category to Pop for the 2025 Grammy Awards. Her self-titled project, initially submitted for Best R&B Album, was moved by the Recording Academy’s R&B screening committee to compete in the highly competitive Best Pop Vocal Album category. This decision comes as a surprise, considering the 14-track album is deeply rooted in the Southern African genre Amapiano, as well as Afrobeats, and R&B, with its viral hit “Water” topping the Hot R&B Songs chart.
Critics argue that Tyla’s album would be a better fit in the Best Progressive R&B Album category, a second R&B award created to honor projects that blend R&B with other genres like rap, dance, and pop. Her album has seen success across multiple charts, including claiming the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot R&B Songs chart and spending 51 weeks at the top of the U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart. First-round Grammy voting has already concluded, with nominations set to be announced on November 8 ahead of the February 2 live show.
5. Lionel Messi claims new record

🇺🇸 Inter Miami: 33 goals pic.twitter.com/rKeYWbPS5d— Roy Nemer (@RoyNemer) October 20, 2024
Lionel Messi has added yet another remarkable achievement to his illustrious career by becoming the all-time leading goalscorer at Inter Miami. In just 36 appearances for the Florida-based MLS side, Messi has netted 33 goals, including a hat-trick in his latest outing. This record is another testament to the Argentine’s unparalleled scoring ability, as he now holds the record for the most goals scored at three different teams: Barcelona (672), Argentina (112), and Inter Miami. While Messi’s eternal rival, Cristiano Ronaldo, boasts similar feats for Real Madrid and Portugal, he does not hold the top-scoring honors at all of his former clubs, leaving Messi’s latest achievement unmatched.
As Messi continues to set records, his goal tally at Inter Miami could rise even higher. Though the club was only founded in 2018, and the record might one day be broken by future players, the 2024 World Cup winner remains focused on helping the Herons add more silverware to their collection. With the Supporters’ Shield already secured this season, Messi and his teammates now have their eyes set on the MLS Cup, further solidifying his status as one of football’s all-time greats.
