North Yorkshire Police said the A64 eastbound carriageway in York was closed last night (Sunday, December 29), following the incident.
In a post at 8.48pm on Sunday police said: “The A64 eastbound carriageway in York is currently closed near the junction with Tadcaster Road due to a collision.
“Motorists are advised to avoid the area and follow diversions.”
York Inner NPT Special Constables said they supported colleagues with the incident.
