16 New Fall Items to Shop From Nordstrom

I don’t know what’s gotten into me, but I can’t stop buying clothes for fall. Sweaters, flannels, and long pants—the exact pieces I couldn’t wait to put in storage a mere three months ago—are now on their way to me. Why do we beg for summer only to crave fall weeks later? Truth be told, the weather won’t allow me to wear these pieces for at least another month, but with all the new collections being released, I have to stock up now. My most irrational fear is that I’ll wait to purchase new-season goodies only to find my favorite pieces sold out, so my mind is already swirling with the outfits I want to style for that cool, crisp fall weather. Fitted blazers with corduroy pants, flannels tucked into cuffed jeans, striped polo shirts with slip skirts… The list goes on. Trust me—when October arrives and so many of these items are already sold out, you’ll be so happy you stocked up on them now.

My fall style doesn’t stray from the classics, and thankfully, the predicted trends for fall 2024 aren’t far off from what I already like to wear. Warm tones, maroon colorways, and suede and corduroy fabrics are my bread and butter, and Nordstrom’s new-arrivals page is chock-full of them. To dress on-trend this fall, I recommend swapping your ankle boots for Mary Janes, oversize blazers for fitted styles, and polos for long-sleeve shirts. There’s no need to get rid of last year’s fall wardrobe—just add any of the following 16 items in order to feel refreshed and re-inspired. For me, all it takes is one new accessory, piece of clothing, or pair of shoes to feel like I have a brand-new seasonal wardrobe. So join me in shopping my favorite early fall fashion items below.
