Manila, Philippines — AirAsia Philippines played a part in a couple’s meaningful journey when a guest proposed to his girlfriend during their flight to Tagbilaran, Bohol, in front of family, friends, and other passengers.
A man proposes to his girlfriend during their AirAsia flight to Bohol.
Mark Anthony Adviento, 37, meticulously organized a surprise engagement for his 32-year-old girlfriend, Myra Donne Chua, seeking help from AirAsia Philippines weeks ahead. As the World’s Best Low-Cost Airline, renowned for supporting meaningful journeys, AirAsia proudly helped Mark transform a routine flight into a memorable life event.
Mark describes their relationship as an “answered prayer.’ They first met in August 2022, but it was only in May 2024 that they started to get to know each other more deeply. After patiently waiting and being turned down three times, Myra eventually agreed to become his girlfriend in December 2024 — a reflection of Mark’s humility, faith, and trust in God’s perfect timing.
After months of meticulous planning, Mark finally carried out the long-anticipated proposal during an AirAsia Z2 350 flight, asking Myra to marry him.
“I chose to propose on an AirAsia flight because all our loved ones were with us. It was the perfect setting for such a memorable moment. AirAsia’s exceptional service, safety, and great value made it an easy choice and with the hashtag #LoveIsInTheAIRAsia, it just felt right.” Mark Anthony Adviento shares.
As Myra joyfully said “yes” mid-flight, the entire cabin erupted in cheers, proving that love can indeed take flight when it’s built on faith, patience, and purpose.
Throughout the proposal, the airline ensured that all safety protocols were strictly followed.
